We operate to do good, and change lives

Maria Aife Foundation is a non-profit organisation created in honour of Maria Aife; a philanthropist, an educator, a mentor of women, a business woman, a founder of several businesses, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

As we work to educate and empower women and girls, preserve human dignity, enable people development, and foster sustainable development for all; we provide support to key and local organisations to develop initiatives which drive long term change.

As a sustainable development hub, we actively work to equip and support the education of girls, empower women to entrepreneurial mindset and support them as small business owners. We also aim to equip the youth to recognize and seize emerging green opportunities, and to expand their horizon through technology and innovation. Our aim is to financially empower 10 million underserved women by 2030 and to equip 10 million young people by 2030 with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to examine sustainability issues creatively and critically.

OUR MISSION IS TO OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF EMPOWERMENT TO EVERY INDIVIDUAL, THAT EMPHASIZE OUR PROMISE TO SHOW UP AND DO GOOD, PRESERVE HUMAN DIGINITY, ENABLE PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND VALUE CREATION IN PROTECTING LIVES AND NURTURING THE PLANET FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

OBJECTIVES

  1. The core purpose of Aife Maria Foundation is to do good.
  2. We show up where there is a need and take action, holding hands with the impacted communities to uplift and unite. By creating dynamic and impactful programming to serve communities in need, build meaningful initiatives and drive long term change while also partnering with community leaders and key organisations to identify immediate needs.
  3. To raise awareness and help people understand how we can manage our own personal impact on climate change and sustainability thereby accelerating the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
  4. Work with local communities to expand leadership on the Sustainable development goals (SDG) in communities across the country. Aiming to help all Nigerians especially women make sustainable development a reality in their own communities.
  5. To promote gender equality in the society.
  6. To advocate for climate justice.
  7. To advocate for a just transition to climate change.
  8. To initiate programs for the empowerment of local communities in advocating for climate adaptation at impacted communities.
  9. To provide a platform for philanthropic organisations and individuals to identify causes worthy of support
  10. To support small and medium scale female owned businesses.
